From one M to another...
Hec Maynard and his wife Ruth and family moved to 'Greenfields' Jambin, in March 1968. Hec continued to breed Brahmans but, ever one to look for opportunities, he decided to try his hand at Charolais over the Brahmans. When the ban on imported Charolais semen was lifted in 1969 he started Artificial Insemination over the Brahman herd. So impressed with the results, he continued this programme for some years that built up an impressive line of Charbrays.
At the first sponsored Charbray Sale in October 1978, Greenfields offered eight bulls and have continued to support this sale annually. Daughter Anne, and son-in-law Les Marshall have continued with the cattle so lovingly bred by Hec at 'Greenfields' and offer the same quality animals. The Brand M was first issued in 1953, transferred to RF & RM in 1985 and now carried on by LR & AM Marshall of “Greenfields” Jambin. |

Sound, productive females are vital.

Our sires aren't the only part of the equation that counts! Their progeny relies on the proven parentage and exceptional calving rates of our Charbray breeders. Quality, fertile cows matter. Average age of puberty is 14 months that allows them to calve at around two years of age, with the ability to be joined every year following.
Our breeders are natural mothers with ease of calving and milk production all being excellent traits. We do not regularly sell our females. If you are interested in heifers please contact us directly.
